The STARTECH GLCLHSMD10ST bundle supplies ten hot-swappable SFP modules built to the IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-LX/LH standard. Network administrators use them to add Gigabit Ethernet fibre uplinks to Cisco switches such as Firepower, ASR920, IE2000, IE4000 and ASR1000 series, as well as MSA-compliant gear from Ubiquiti, D-Link, Netgear, Supermicro and TP-Link.

1.25 Gbps over 10 km single-mode or multi-mode

Each module runs at 1.25 Gbps on a 1310 nm wavelength and reaches 10 km on single-mode fibre; multi-mode links are supported at shorter distances. Digital Diagnostic Monitoring reports transceiver health to SNMP tools. Operating temperature spans 0 °C to 70 °C, while storage survives -40 °C to 85 °C at 5–95 % RH.

LC duplex footprint fits standard SFP cages

The transceivers measure 0.3 in high, 0.5 in wide and 2.3 in deep, weighing roughly 0.04 lb each. They slot directly into any SFP port that accepts uncoded modules, freeing the switch’s copper ports for other connections. Ten units ship together for rack-scale deployments.
