The module is programmed for full compatibility with HPE switches including the 2930F, 3810M, 5400R and 8325 series. It is designed for network administrators extending links up to 10 km.

10 km single-mode reach

This transceiver delivers a 10 Gbps transfer rate across single-mode fiber spans up to 10 km (6.2 mi). The 1310nm wavelength provides the necessary optical budget for long-range campus or metro connections. It will not support multi-mode cabling or shorter-reach SR optics. Buyers needing distances beyond 10 km or higher bandwidths such as 25 Gbps must select a different module.

Hot-swappable, under 1.3 W

The module consumes less than 1.3 W during operation and supports Digital Diagnostics Monitoring for real-time temperature, voltage and optical power readings.
