Clear 10ft USB 2.0 A-B Cable

This transparent cable connects a USB Type-A host to a USB Type-B peripheral such as a printer or external drive enclosure. It is built for users who need a 10ft reach without signal degradation and prefer a clear jacket that stays inconspicuous on a desk or in a rack. The 24/28 AWG conductors support the USB 2.0 high-speed rate of 480 Mbit/s and remain backward compatible with USB 1.1 devices. Up to 127 daisy-chained devices are supported on the same bus.

Simple Plug-In Installation

Both ends are moulded male connectors with strain relief, so the cable seats firmly without tools and resists damage from repeated insertion or tight bends behind equipment. The foil-and-braid shield plus twisted-pair wiring suppress cross-talk and interference that typically cause intermittent errors on long runs. No drivers are required; the connection is hot-pluggable on any PC or Mac. The only common issue is attempting to use the cable with a USB 3.0 or later peripheral that demands higher bandwidth than 480 Mbit/s provides.

Steady Throughput Over Long Sessions

The shielded construction and 24/28 AWG gauge maintain consistent 480 Mbit/s transfer rates during sustained bulk endpoints such as large print jobs or batch file moves. Error-free signalling prevents the retries that throttle throughput on unshielded leads after the cable warms up. The cable draws bus power normally and adds no active circuitry that could overheat or reset under continuous load. It is not suited for applications that require USB 3.x SuperSpeed bandwidth or power delivery beyond the USB 2.0 specification.
