Male-to-male Type-A to Type-B wiring decides fit

Both ends are fixed male plugs — one 9-pin Type-A, one 9-pin Type-B — so the cable only works when the host supplies a Type-A receptacle and the peripheral supplies a Type-B receptacle. It cannot connect two hosts, two Type-A devices, two Type-B devices or any USB-C port without a separate adapter.
