Transfers files between USB-C and USB-A computers at up to 5 Gbps with included PCLinq software
Style USB-C
This cable links two machines through a USB Type-C port on one side and a USB Type-A port on the other. It moves files at up to 5 Gbps without an external drive or network share. The OTi 7300 chipset handles the connection and stores the PCLinq software on the cable itself so no separate download is required. Windows Easy Transfer is also supported for migration tasks.
The assembly draws bus power only and adds no active cooling or fan noise. Under normal file-copy loads the connectors and jacket stay at ambient temperature because the 5 Gbps USB 3.0 signalling stays within standard current limits. There is no separate power adapter to manage and no audible coil whine from the cable electronics.
PCLinq must run on both hosts for the link to function on Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Mac OS 10.8 through 10.13. Windows 7 and 8 can use the built-in Windows Easy Transfer path instead. If either computer runs an unsupported operating system the cable will not establish a data connection.

Other versions of this model
Connect the USB-A end to the source computer and the USB-C end to the target, then launch the PCLinq software that is stored on the cable itself; skipping this software launch is the step most people miss.
The cable assembly itself is the only replaceable part; the OTi 7300 chipset and both male connectors are moulded into the cable, so any wear or damage means replacing the whole cable.
The USB 3.0 link caps throughput at 5 Gbps, so that interface limit is reached before any other constraint during a long file transfer.
