Limits impact-wrench output to 100 ft-lb, protecting wheels, studs and rotors from overtightening damage
The Steelman 50090A is an 8-inch torque extension that limits impact-wrench output to 100 ft-lb. It fits a 1/2 inch drive and is made from chrome molybdenum steel with a gray powder coat. The stick flexes to absorb excess force and protect wheels, studs and rotors.
Buyers who need a higher torque limit or a different drive size should look elsewhere. The extension is calibrated for 100 ft-lb only and will not cover other specifications. It also requires an electric or pneumatic impact wrench to function as intended.
The single figure that determines whether this part matches the job is the 100 ft-lb limit. If the vehicle or wheel specification calls for that value, the extension will prevent overtightening; if a different torque is required, this stick cannot be used.

The extension flexes to absorb impact once the output reaches 100 ft-lb, limiting the torque applied to the lug nut.
It fits a 1/2 inch drive anvil and measures 8 inches long, so the wrench must accept that drive size and have clearance for the bar.
Attach the extension to the impact wrench first, then the socket; the common mistake is putting the socket on the extension before connecting to the wrench.
