Ultra-Lightweight MMO Mouse

The SteelSeries Aerox 9 62618 is an 89g wireless gaming mouse built for MMO and MOBA players who need extensive button access without wrist fatigue. Its TrueMove Air optical sensor delivers 18000 CPI, 400 IPS, and 40G acceleration with tilt tracking for precise 1-to-1 control. Dual connectivity offers lag-free 2.4 GHz Quantum 2.0 wireless for gaming and Bluetooth 5.0 for general use across Windows, Mac, Xbox, and Linux.

18 Programmable Buttons & IP54 Protection

An ergonomic 12-button side panel and tilt-click scroll wheel provide 18 programmable inputs for ability bars and macros in titles like Final Fantasy XIV or World of Warcraft. AquaBarrier technology gives the mouse an IP54 rating, shielding internal components from water splashes, dust, and dirt during everyday use. The battery lasts up to 180 hours on a single charge, and a 15-minute fast charge adds roughly 40 hours of playtime.

Simple Dual-Mode Setup

Plug the USB dongle into any free port for instant 2.4 GHz operation, or pair via Bluetooth 5.0 through the OS settings for cable-free flexibility. SteelSeries Engine software handles button remapping, CPI adjustments, and lighting on Windows and Mac; Xbox and Linux users retain core mouse functions but cannot run the configuration suite. The only common friction point is installing the software to unlock the full 18-button customisation layer.

Questions about this item

What will need replacing on the Aerox 9 62618 after heavy daily use?

The PTFE glide feet will wear down over time and can be swapped with the spare set included in the box.

What limit appears first during extended wireless sessions?

The 180-hour battery life is the first ceiling; a 15-minute charge restores roughly 40 hours of play.

How warm or loud does the 89g mouse get after all-day gaming?

It stays silent and cool because there are no fans; the TrueMove Air sensor and Quantum 2.0 wireless draw minimal power.
