Hybrid Blue Mechanical Switches

The SteelSeries Apex 5 is a full-size wired gaming keyboard built around hybrid blue mechanical switches rated for 20 million keystrokes. It targets gamers and office users who want a tactile click with membrane smoothness, an integrated OLED Smart Display and per-key RGB lighting in a rigid aluminium frame.

20 Million Keystroke Rating

The hybrid blue mechanical switches combine a crisp tactile click with guaranteed durability of 20 million keypresses for consistent feel over time. This rating is the single specification that determines whether the keyboard matches a buyer's longevity expectations for competitive gaming or heavy daily typing.

104-Key Layout With 24-Key Anti-Ghosting

The standard 104-key layout includes a dedicated numpad and 24-key anti-ghosting to handle simultaneous command inputs in FPS, MOBA and MMO titles. It runs out of rollover coverage beyond those 24 keys, so users needing full n-key rollover for complex macros should look elsewhere.
