61-Key 60% Esports Keyboard

The SteelSeries Apex Pro Mini is a wired 61-key keyboard built on a 60% compact layout for competitive FPS players and power users. Its reduced footprint maximises mouse movement space while an FN multi-function layer keeps full functionality within reach. The board connects via a detachable braided USB-C cable and works plug-and-play across Windows, macOS, Xbox and PS5.

OmniPoint 2.0 HyperMagnetic Switches

OmniPoint 2.0 HyperMagnetic switches provide 0.14.0mm per-key adjustable actuation across 40 precision levels. Rapid Trigger technology delivers a 0.7ms response with zero contact bounce, allowing instant key reset for repeated inputs. The switches are rated for a 100M keystroke lifespan and support full N-key rollover, maintaining consistent registration under sustained competitive load.

Aircraft-Grade Aluminium Frame

A rigid 5000-series aircraft-grade aluminium top plate gives the chassis structural stiffness for tournament play. Double-shot PBT keycaps resist shine and wear over extended sessions. Three-way cable routing lets the detachable braided cable exit left, right or centre to suit desk layouts, while three-level adjustable tilt feet set the typing angle. Five on-board profiles store per-key PrismSync RGB setups without software.

Questions about this item

How much heat or power draw does the OmniPoint 2.0 HyperMagnetic switch design add during all-day gaming sessions?

The magnetic switches have no physical contacts, so they generate negligible extra heat and draw only standard USB power from the detachable braided USB-C cable.

What host device and port must I already have to use the detachable USB-C to USB-A cable?

You need a device with a USB-A port — Windows PC, Mac, Xbox or PS5 — and the cable plugs straight in with no extra drivers.

Will the 61-key 60% layout and FN layer let me keep using my existing full-size keycap sets?

Standard full-size keycap sets will not fit the compact 61-key layout; the board uses double-shot PBT caps sized for the 60% form factor.
