Esports TKL Gaming Keyboard

The SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL HyperMagnetic is a wired gaming keyboard built for competitive play. Its tenkeyless form factor saves desk space while keeping full functionality. An aircraft-grade Series 5000 aluminum top plate provides structural rigidity. Per-key RGB illumination and an integrated OLED smart display show system stats or profile data at a glance.

Sustained Load Behaviour

OmniPoint 2.0 Adjustable HyperMagnetic switches use Hall Effect sensing to remove physical contact bounce. Rapid Trigger dynamically activates and deactivates keys based on travel distance instead of a fixed point. This maintains consistent response during extended sessions where traditional mechanical switches can suffer from latency buildup or double-click issues over time.

Decisive Specification

Forty levels of per-key actuation adjustment span 0.1 mm to 4.0 mm, letting you set WASD for hair-trigger movement and ability keys for deep presses. Two-in-one action keys bind two functions to one key by travel depth. Buyers who need a full numeric keypad or dedicated macro column should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How much power does the USB-C connection draw when the OLED screen and RGB lighting run all day?

The keyboard draws standard USB-C bus power; the OLED display and per-key RGB operate within that limit without an external adapter.

What software must be installed on my PC to configure the 40 actuation levels and 2-in-1 action keys?

SteelSeries Engine runs on Windows or macOS and provides per-key 0.1-4.0 mm adjustment, Rapid Trigger tuning and dual-action mapping.

Will the tenkeyless layout and detachable USB-C cable work with my older motherboard that only has USB-A ports?

Yes — use the included USB-C to USB-A cable or any quality adapter; the keyboard is recognised as a standard HID device on legacy ports.
