SteelSeries Prime Neo Noir FPS mouse

The SteelSeries Prime Neo Noir is a wired FPS gaming mouse built around an 18000 CPI TrueMove Pro optical sensor. It offers five programmable buttons and magnetic optical switches for fast actuation. The mouse is aimed at competitive shooters who want a lightweight, responsive pointer.

Installation and common issues

Connect the mouse to a free USB port and it is recognised immediately without extra drivers. SteelSeries GG software is optional for button mapping, CPI steps and Prism RGB lighting effects. The only frequent issue is forgetting to install the software if per-game profiles or lighting sync are wanted.

Before you order

Verify that your system has an available USB Type-A port for the wired connection. The mouse is designed for right-handed use, so left-handed players should check the shape suits them. No additional power or internal header is required beyond the single USB link.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 18000 CPI TrueMove Pro sensor is tracking correctly after setup?

Open the SteelSeries Engine software, set a DPI level, then move the mouse in a straight line on a pad; the on-screen pointer should travel the exact distance without jitter or acceleration.

What comes in the box with the Prime Neo Noir and what must I buy separately?

The box contains the mouse with its magnetic optical switches, Prism RGB lighting and five programmable buttons; no extra cables, feet or software licences are included, so nothing else is required to start gaming.

Which version of the Prime Neo Noir should I choose for competitive FPS play?

Only one version exists — model 62535 with an 18000 CPI TrueMove Pro sensor, five programmable buttons and magnetic optical switches — so there is no capacity or spec choice to make.
