32-Quart Stackable Storage Box

The Sterilite 1496 provides 32 quarts of clear storage capacity for household organisation. Its transparent base lets you identify contents without opening the lid. The white and blue design fits neatly on shelves or in garages. It suits anyone needing durable, visible containment for seasonal items or tools.

Single-Latch Hinged Lid Operation

One hand releases the primary latch while the second latch remains fixed as a hinge. This mechanism keeps the lid attached during full opening so it cannot be misplaced. The motion stays smooth through repeated daily cycles. The design removes the frustration of aligning separate lids on busy shelves.

Recessed Lid Enables Stable Stacking

Recessed lids lock boxes together vertically to maximise floor space. The clear walls resist cracking under normal load so stacked towers stay rigid. No moving parts or fans mean silent operation in any room. The polypropylene construction handles typical indoor temperature swings without warping.

Questions about this item

Does the 32-quart Sterilite 1496 generate any noise, heat or power draw when left closed all day?

The Sterilite 1496 is a passive storage box with no motor, fan or electronics, so it produces zero noise, zero heat and draws no power while sitting closed.

What must I already own for the 16-inch-wide Sterilite 1496 to function as intended?

No tools, power source or additional hardware are required; the box works immediately on any flat surface.

Will the 23.75-inch-long Sterilite 1496 stack securely on top of my older Sterilite containers?

The recessed lid is designed so same-size boxes stack neatly; older Sterilite boxes of different dimensions may not align securely.
