Omni-Bounce Diffuser for Flash Units

The Sto-Fen Omni-Bounce Diffuser softens the light from a compatible camera flash unit. It fits a wide range of models from brands including Canon, Nikon, Sony, Metz, and Vivitar. Photographers seeking more even illumination for portraits or indoor scenes will find it a practical addition to their kit.

Behaviour Under Sustained Use

The diffuser attaches directly to the flash head and modifies the output each time the unit fires. Because it contains no electronics or power source, its performance does not change during extended shooting sessions. Heat buildup in the flash itself is unaffected by the presence of the diffuser.

Build and Mounting Implications

The accessory is a lightweight moulded piece that snaps onto the front of supported flash units. Its compact form adds minimal bulk, so the flash still fits in most camera bags. The secure friction fit keeps it in place during rapid repositioning or when the camera is carried on a strap.

Questions about this item

Does the Omni-Bounce diffuser trap heat against the flash head during long shooting sessions?

The diffuser fits over the flash head and allows air to circulate around the unit so heat can escape normally during extended use.

Which flash units must I already own for this diffuser to fit?

It is designed for models such as the Bower SFD35C, Canon 380EX, LumoPro LP120, Neewer TT520, Nikon SB-24, SB-25, SB-26, Sony HVL-F32X, Metz 40 MZ2, 54 MZ3, 54 MZ4 and the listed Vivitar, Sunpak, Sigma, Olympus, Minolta, Contax, Achiever, Nissin, Phoenix, Precision Design, Panasonic, Polaroid, Focal, Digi-Slave and Pentax units.

Will the Omni-Bounce work on my older Nikon SB-24 if I keep it alongside a newer flash?

Yes, the SB-24 is listed as compatible so the diffuser fits that older unit while you also use a newer flash.
