Ryzen 7 9800X3D gaming desktop

This STORMCRAFT PHANTOM system pairs an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with an NVIDIA RTX 5080 graphics card. The 8-core CPU reaches a 5.2GHz boost frequency and provides 96MB of L3 cache. It runs on a B850 motherboard with Wi-Fi and uses an AM5 socket.

Built for high-refresh 4K gaming

The 16GB GDDR7 GPU and 32GB DDR5 6000MHz memory target smooth gameplay at high resolutions. A 360mm AIO liquid cooler and 850W 80+ Gold power supply support sustained loads. Buyers who need more than 2TB of primary storage or a multi-GPU configuration should consider other platforms.

2TB Gen 4.0 NVMe SSD decides capacity

The single 2TB NVMe drive holds the operating system and a large game library. No additional drive bays or secondary M.2 slots are listed in the specifications. If your workflow demands several terabytes of fast local storage, this configuration will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

Will the 360mm AIO liquid cooling need its coolant refreshed or the pump replaced after a few years?

The 360mm AIO is a sealed unit with no user-serviceable coolant; pump life typically spans several years of continuous operation, and the 850W 80+ Gold PSU helps deliver stable power to the cooling system.

Which component hits its thermal or power ceiling first when the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RTX 5080 run flat-out for hours?

The RTX 5080 with 16GB GDDR7 draws the highest sustained power, so the 850W 80+ Gold supply and 360mm AIO are sized to keep the GPU within its thermal envelope before the CPU becomes the limiting factor.

How loud does the 360mm AIO get and what waste heat does the 850W 80+ Gold PSU add when the system games all day?

Under full load the 360mm AIO fans ramp to move heat from both the 9800X3D and RTX 5080, while the 80+ Gold PSU runs at high efficiency, keeping excess heat and noise lower than a lower-rated supply would.
