Pro Audio Ethernet Extender 6.6ft

This Cat6 extension cable adds 6.6 feet of reach between a router, switch or wall jack and a network device. Shielded SSTP construction with gold-plated RJ45 male-to-female connectors reduces EMI and RFI for cleaner signal transmission. It is built for indoor or outdoor installation.

Suits fixed installs needing extra length

The 6.6ft length works well for desktop, projector or streaming-device placements where the existing cable falls short. Installations that require runs longer than 6.6ft or speeds above 1000Mbps will need a different solution. Buyers needing PoE power budgets beyond standard Gigabit limits should verify compatibility separately.

Cat6 250MHz 1000Mbps rating

The cable is rated for 250MHz bandwidth and 1000Mbps data transfer, matching Gigabit Ethernet performance. This specification decides whether the extender can support the intended network speed without becoming a bottleneck.

Questions about this item

Does the 250 MHz Cat6 cable run warm or draw extra power when it carries a 1000 Mbps stream all day?

The shielded SSTP cable is passive; it carries the signal without active circuitry, so it generates no measurable heat and draws no power of its own.

What connectors must my existing gear already have for this male-to-female RJ45 extender to plug in?

Both ends use standard RJ45 jacks, so the router, switch, PC or streaming box you are extending must each present a female RJ45 port.

Will the gold-plated RJ45 ends mate reliably with the Cat5e patch panel and older switch I already own?

Yes — the cable is backward compatible with Cat5 and Cat5e standards, so it works with legacy panels and switches at their rated speeds.
