Intelligent multi-temperature kettle

The Sunpentown SK-1800R is a 1.8 L electric kettle with four preset hold temperatures and a boil function. It suits tea drinkers who need precise water temperatures between 104 and 185 °F. The stainless steel body, spout and lid house a concealed heating element. This model is not for buyers who want a larger capacity or variable temperature control outside the four fixed presets.

Thermal behaviour and power draw

The 1300 W Strix thermostat brings water to a boil quickly and maintains the selected hold temperature within +/-2 °F. The automatic shut-off activates after boiling or when the kettle is lifted from the 360 ° swivel base. Three safety features — water sensor, thermostat and thermo cut-off — protect against dry operation. The unit operates at altitudes up to 10,000 ft without performance changes.

Bundled convenience features

The cord-free design lets the kettle lift cleanly from the base for pouring, while cord storage keeps the countertop tidy. An external water level indicator changes colour to show heating progress from a distance. The stay-cool handle and base remain safe to touch during operation. No extra accessories or software are included beyond the integrated base unit.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the kettle on its 360-degree base for the first use?

Place the base on a flat surface, plug it in, seat the kettle firmly so it can rotate freely, fill to the 1.8 L max line, then choose a preset or Boil.

Which parts will need cleaning or replacement over time?

The concealed heating element and stainless steel interior should be descaled periodically; the water-level indicator and stay-cool handle are not user-replaceable.

At what temperature does the hold-temp function stop maintaining accuracy?

The kettle holds each preset — 104, 140, 158, or 185 °F — within ±2 °F until you lift it or power off.
