Lightweight Gimbal Head for Telephoto Lenses

The Sunwayfoto GH-02 is a CNC-machined gimbal head built from T6061 aerospace grade aluminum with a type-III hard anodized finish. Its hollowed-out design keeps the weight at 2.16lb (980g) while supporting loads up to 66lb (30Kgs). It is intended for photographers using heavy telephoto lenses who need smooth tracking for wildlife or bird photography.

Build Integration and Balance

The unit measures 9.09 by 3.15 by 8.86 inches (23 by 8 by 22.5 cm) and fits into a standard tripod setup via a reinforced 3/8 inch mount. A 3.9 inch (10 cm) vertical adjustment range on the cradle lets you balance almost any lens size. Once balanced, the rig stays fixed at any tilt position without relying on the lock knob, freeing you to pan 360 degrees horizontally.

Adjustable Damping and Panning Base

An extra-large panning base with a 2.36 inch (60 mm) diameter provides a stable platform for fluid horizontal rotation. The damping adjustment knob lets you tune resistance to match the specific weight of your camera and lens combination. This ensures silent, controlled movement that will not disturb sensitive subjects during tracking.
