Questions about this item

Does the HD661 need an external amplifier to work?

The HD661 is a passive headphone that connects via its detachable straight cables, so it will operate directly from any device with a standard headphone output.

Will the HD661's closed-back design prevent sound leaking onto open-back speakers I keep nearby?

Yes, the closed-back cups seal the drivers, so audio stays inside the headphones and will not bleed onto adjacent open-back speakers.
