Holds four server blades with LGA1150 Xeon processors, dual Gigabit LAN and 2.5-inch SATA3 drive bays in a 1.20-inch high chassis
The Supermicro MicroBlade MBI-6118D-T4-PACK contains blade modules designed for dense compute deployments. Each module fits an LGA1150 socket and supports Intel Xeon E3-1200 v3 family processors and 4th generation Intel Core i3 processors. The board includes the Intel C224 chipset and provides four 240-pin DDR3-1600 DIMM slots for ECC unbuffered memory up to 32GB total capacity.
Processors up to 82W TDP are supported within the blade form factor. Cooling is handled by the enclosure infrastructure rather than on-board fans, so acoustic output and power draw depend on the shared chassis configuration. Dual Intel i350 Gigabit Ethernet ports provide network connectivity without adding significant thermal load to the module itself.
Each blade measures 4.94 by 23.20 by 1.20 inches and weighs 5.01 pounds, slotting into a compatible MicroBlade enclosure that supplies power, cooling and management. Four 2.5-inch 6Gb/s SATA3 drive bays are available per module for local storage. Front-panel LEDs indicate power, UID/KVM, network activity and fault status for at-a-glance monitoring.

Slide the blade along the enclosure rails until the connector seats firmly; the step people miss is pressing the release latch fully until it clicks to lock the module in place.
The four DDR3-1600 ECC DIMM slots and the four 2.5" 6Gb/s drive bays are the field-replaceable components; fans and power are shared in the enclosure.
The processor TDP ceiling of 82 W is the first limit; sustained loads beyond that will trigger throttling before the enclosure cooling reaches its capacity.
