GX420t Thermal Transfer Desktop Printer

The GX420t thermal transfer desktop printer produces labels, receipts and tags at 203 dpi resolution. It suits warehouses, offices and retail counters that need reliable on-demand printing.

Print width 4 in and 6 in/sec speed

Maximum print width is 4 inches with a top speed of 6 inches per second. The 203 dpi output handles address, shipping and barcode labels cleanly, while the 5-inch roll diameter limits batch length.

USB Serial Ethernet connectivity

Three wired interfaces — USB, serial and 10/100 Ethernet — let the printer join existing networks without extra adapters. Media rolls mount on a 1-inch core up to 4.25 inches wide, so roll changes stay quick during busy shifts.

Questions about this item

Will the GX420t connect to a legacy PC that only has a serial port?

Yes, the GX420t includes a serial port alongside USB and 10/100 Ethernet, so it can link directly to older systems without adapters.

How can I verify the 203 dpi print quality is correct after installation?

Print a test label from the driver or front panel and inspect the barcode edges; they should appear sharp at the rated 203 dpi resolution.

Does the box include a thermal ribbon and media rolls, or must I purchase them separately?

The printer requires a thermal ribbon for transfer printing or direct thermal media for ribbon-free operation; neither consumable is included and both must be bought separately.
