Compatible replacement ribbon

The SuppliesMax DECLA80RP-KA is a black dot-matrix printer ribbon built to match OEM specifications for DEC and TallyGenicom machines. It fits the LA-650, LA-650+, LA-800 and LA-800+ models. The six-pack suits offices that run high-volume printing of receipts, invoices and multipart forms. Buyers who need colour ribbons or inkjet cartridges cannot use this product.

Consistent output with minimal waste

Premium materials and strong ink retention keep characters sharp over long print runs and reduce the frequency of ribbon changes. The ribbon is manufactured in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified facilities using new and recycled components. Designed for 110V equipment sold in the USA, it draws no extra power and adds no mechanical noise beyond the printer's normal operation.

Direct drop-in for legacy impact printers

Each cartridge mirrors the original LA80RP-KA form factor so it seats without adapters or modifications. The pack contains six identical ribbons, simplifying stock rotation for fleets of compatible DEC or TallyGenicom units. Offices that have migrated to laser or thermal printers will not be able to use these ribbons.

Questions about this item

How do I install the DECLA80RP-KA ribbon cartridge in my DEC LA-650+ without jamming the print head?

Open the printer cover, remove the old cartridge by lifting its release tab, insert the new ribbon so the exposed fabric sits between the print head and platen, then advance the ribbon knob once to tension it before closing the cover.

When will the ribbon need replacement in a DEC LA-800 printing invoices daily?

Replace the cartridge when print becomes faint or patchy; each ribbon yields several thousand characters and the six-pack provides enough supply for months of high-volume business printing.

What print-quality limit appears first during continuous printing on a TallyGenicom LA-800+?

Extended runs can deplete ink from the fabric faster than it re-saturates, causing gradual fading before the ribbon mechanism itself wears out.
