What this ribbon pack is for

This six-pack of black dot-matrix ribbons replaces the Facit 550420 cartridge and fits the wide range of Facit, Infoscribe, HI-G and other compatible printers listed in the compatibility data. It is intended for businesses that print receipts, invoices or multi-part forms on impact printers and want a ready supply of replacements.

Installation and common issues

Each ribbon installs like the original cartridge: open the printer cover, remove the spent unit and snap the new one into place. The most frequent problem is misaligned ribbon feed, which causes faded or patchy print; reseating the cartridge and advancing the ribbon manually usually clears it.

Check your printer before ordering

Verify that your machine appears in the long compatibility list — models such as the Facit 4525, 4526, 4528, 5000 and 7000 series, plus the Infoscribe 800, 1100 and 1400 families. This pack is not for laser or inkjet devices, nor for printers that require a different ribbon part number.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the ribbon is printing correctly on my Facit 4525 after installation?

Print a test page or sample invoice; sharp, even black characters across the full width show the ribbon is seated and feeding properly.

What comes in the 6-pack and is anything else needed to start printing?

Six black printer ribbons compatible with Facit 550420 are included; no extra cartridges or parts are required for the listed Facit and Infoscribe models.

Which pack should I choose if my printer uses OEM part number Facit 550420?

This 6-pack carries part number FCT550420 and replaces Facit 550420 directly, so it is the correct version for that OEM reference.
