Six-pack ribbon for journal printers

This six-pack supplies black-and-red ink ribbons built to match the original IBM 1217 and 3762 journal printer specifications. Each ribbon is manufactured from premium materials to deliver sharp, professional output on receipts, invoices and other high-volume business documents. The compatible design ensures reliable operation across a wide range of dot-matrix and point-of-sale machines.

Consistent output with minimal maintenance

Excellent ink retention reduces the frequency of ribbon changes during continuous printing tasks. The formulation resists smudging and fading so that every transaction record remains legible. No special power or cooling requirements apply because the ribbon is a passive consumable matched to the printer’s existing mechanism.

Black/red two-colour printing for audit trails

The dual-colour ribbon prints black text and red highlights in a single pass, which is essential for journal entries that require colour-coded debits and credits. Buyers who need single-colour black ribbons or cartridge-style ribbons for other printer models should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the SuppliesMax IBM 1217/3762 ribbon cartridge in my dot-matrix printer?

Open the printer cover, remove the old cartridge, align the new ribbon spools with the guide posts, press until it clicks, then advance the ribbon manually using the knob to ensure proper tension before closing the cover.

When will the black/red ribbon need replacement in a high-volume POS environment?

The ribbon lasts until print becomes faint or the red stripe no longer appears on journal entries; excellent ink retention reduces replacement frequency but exact life depends on daily print volume and character density.

What limits continuous printing on the IBM 3762 journal printer with this ribbon?

Sustained high-speed printing can cause the ribbon to overheat and stick, leading to smudged characters or ribbon jams before the ink is fully depleted.
