Six-Pack NEC-Compatible Dot-Matrix Ribbon

This pack contains six black fabric ribbons built to match the original NEC 8023-01A specification. They are designed for dot-matrix impact printers used in offices, warehouses and retail counters. The multi-unit bundle keeps spare cartridges on hand for continuous high-volume printing.

Suited for NEC and legacy dot-matrix fleets

The ribbons fit a wide range of NEC models including the PC-8000, PC-8023, PC-8024, PC-8025 and PC-8027 series plus equivalent Porelon, Olivetti, Olympia and Adler Royal part numbers. Buyers who need colour output, inkjet or laser supplies, or ribbons for non-impact printers should look at other product categories.

Compatibility list is the deciding factor

Verify that your printer model or OEM part number appears in the supported list before ordering. The ribbon only works with the specific dot-matrix machines and cross-referenced part numbers detailed in the compatibility table.

Questions about this item

Which NEC dot-matrix printer models will this 6-pack of black ribbons fit?

The ribbons are compatible with NEC PC-8000, PC-8023, PC-8023A, PC-8024, PC-8025, PC-8027 and the PC-8020A Astra series, plus Sony 7020.

Will the ribbon work in an older Adler Royal 592 or Olympia 172 typewriter?

Yes — the part number cross-references Adler Royal 592 and Olympia 172, so the ribbon fits those legacy machines.

How can I confirm the ribbon is printing correctly after I install it?

Print a test page; characters should appear sharp and evenly dark across the full width without smudging or fading.
