Compatible Ribbon Pack for Printronix P7000 Series

This six-pack of black spool ribbons replaces Printronix part 179499-001 on P7000, P7005, P7010, P7015, P7205, P7210, P7215 and P7220 dot matrix printers. It is built for offices that print receipts, invoices and other high-volume business documents on these specific models.

Drop-in spool installation with no tools required

The ribbon seats directly into the printer's existing cartridge bay, so replacement takes seconds. The only common issue is forgetting to remove the protective shipping tab before closing the cover, which prevents the ribbon from advancing on the first print job.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the ribbon is printing correctly on my Printronix P7010 after installation?

Print a test page and check for sharp, consistent black text on receipts or invoices; even density across the page shows the ribbon is feeding and transferring ink as intended.

What comes in the 6-pack and do I need any extra parts to install it in a P7215?

The pack contains six black spool ribbons; no additional parts are required — each ribbon drops straight into the cartridge bay of the P7215.

Which pack should I choose if my printer uses OEM part 255165-001?

This 6-pack replaces OEM part 255165-001 directly, so select the standard black 6-pack listed under part 179499-001.
