Compatible ribbon pack

The SuppliesMax Printer Ribbon Unisys 04-1086-844 Black 6 Pack is a compatible replacement ribbon cartridge built for point-of-sale printers. Each pack contains six black ink ribbons manufactured to match OEM specifications. It targets retailers, hospitality venues and back-office operations that need reliable, low-cost consumables for high-volume transaction printing.

Fits Unisys and legacy POS models

The ribbons install directly into Unisys AP-1317 and AP-1318 printers and a wide range of legacy POS models from Burroughs, Capitol Circuits, Datatrol, Allen R.C. and other listed brands. No adapter brackets or firmware changes are required; the cartridge slots into the existing ribbon carriage. This compatibility frees procurement teams from sourcing discontinued OEM part numbers across multiple hardware generations.

Six-ribbon yield for continuous operation

Six ribbons per pack provide extended run time between reorders for receipt, invoice and slip printing workloads. Ink retention is formulated to stay consistent across long shifts, reducing the frequency of swap-outs. The supply runs out when all six cartridges are exhausted; environments with heavier daily throughput will cycle through the pack faster and should plan reorder points accordingly.

Each ribbon is built for high-volume business printing with excellent ink retention that minimizes replacement frequency and ensures consistent, reliable operation across extended shifts.

Does the ribbon generate extra heat or noise inside the printer during continuous use?

The ribbon matches OEM performance with premium materials, so it runs at the same temperature and acoustic level as the original Unisys 04-1086-844 ribbon in AP-1317 and AP-1318 printers.

Which Unisys printer models must I already own for these ribbons to fit?

They are direct replacements for the Unisys AP-1317 and AP-1318 point-of-sale printers and also fit the Burroughs AP-1317 and AP-1318 units listed in the compatibility table.
