SuppliesMax S800PC Purple Ribbon 6-Pack

This six-pack of purple ink ribbons replaces the Sharp S800PC consumable for a wide range of Sharp Compet, CS, ER, QS, VX, XE and ZL series calculators and printers. It is designed for businesses that need reliable, high-volume output for receipts, invoices and financial records. Each ribbon is built to match OEM specifications for consistent print quality. Office managers and retail operators can keep a spare supply on hand to minimise downtime.

Upgrading from Worn or Generic Ribbons

Swap out a faded original ribbon or a lower-quality third-party alternative when print becomes uneven or faint. The jump is worth it if your current ribbons wear out quickly, cause smudging or require frequent replacement during peak periods. These compatibles use premium materials to maintain ink retention and sharp character formation over longer runs. They are not suited for users who need colour printing beyond purple or who operate non-Sharp hardware.

Limits of Dot-Matrix Impact Printing

The ribbon relies on mechanical impact transfer, so print density drops gradually as the ink reservoir depletes rather than cutting out abruptly. Output resolution and speed are fixed by the host printer mechanism, not the ribbon itself. Purple ink is single-colour only; no multi-colour or high-definition graphics are possible. Buyers needing archival-grade fade resistance or thermal-print silence should look at other technologies.

Questions about this item

Will the S800PC ribbon cartridge fit my Sharp CS-2152S calculator?

Yes, the SuppliesMax S800PC is listed as compatible with the Sharp CS-2152S and the wider CS series, Compet series, EL, ER, QS, VX, XE and ZL models.

How do I install the ribbon, and what step do people often miss?

Open the printer cover, remove the old cartridge, insert the new S800PC ribbon until it clicks into place, then manually turn the ribbon advance knob to take up slack before closing the cover.

When should I replace the purple ribbon in a high-volume POS printer?

Replace the ribbon when print becomes faint or uneven; each pack contains six ribbons, and the manufacturer notes excellent ink retention to minimise replacement frequency.
