Compact 61-key layout

The Surmen GS61 is a 60-percent mechanical keyboard with 61 keys in a Miami-themed pink and cyan colourway. It uses linear red switches that require less actuation force and have no tactile bump, making them suitable for both gaming and extended typing sessions. The compact form factor saves desk space and is easy to transport.

Thermals noise and power

As a corded USB device with single-colour backlighting, the keyboard draws power directly from the host and produces no audible fan noise or measurable heat during normal operation. The linear switches operate quietly compared to clicky alternatives, keeping the acoustic profile low in shared environments. No active cooling or external power supply is required.

Sustained load behaviour

Full anti-ghosting across all 61 keys ensures that simultaneous keystrokes register correctly during intense gaming or fast coding workloads. Double-shot PBT keycaps resist shine and legend fade over millions of actuations, while the detachable USB Type-C cable maintains a stable connection. Adjustable feet let you set a comfortable angle for long periods of use.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Surmen GS61 and what step is often missed?

Plug the detachable USB-C cable into the keyboard and a USB port on your PC; the step people miss is seating the cable fully into the keyboard's recessed port until it clicks.

What maintenance will the GS61 need over time?

Use the included keycap puller to remove PBT keycaps for cleaning; switches are rated for 50 million keystrokes, so replacement is rarely needed.

What limit appears first during long gaming sessions?

The single-colour backlight cannot be dimmed per key, so brightness stays fixed; FN+P toggles it off if glare becomes distracting.
