Compatible Refrigerator Water Filter

The Swift Green SGF-W84 is a new refrigerator water filter designed to replace several original equipment cartridges including 4396841, 4396710 and EDR3RXD1. It uses a carbon block membrane rated at 0.5 microns and carries NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 certifications for contaminant reduction.

Who This Suits And Who Should Look Elsewhere

This filter suits households that want a Made-in-USA replacement reducing chlorine taste, odour, lead, cysts, mercury, asbestos and VOCs while retaining beneficial minerals. It is not for buyers who need a filter certified under different NSF standards or those whose refrigerator requires a cartridge with a different physical interface.

Check Your Setup Before Ordering

Verify that your refrigerator model accepts one of the listed part numbers such as 4396841, 4396710 or EDR3RXD1. Confirm the filter housing dimensions of 12.75 by 2.6 by 2.6 centimetres will fit the available space. Plan to replace the cartridge every three to six months for best performance.

Questions about this item

Does my refrigerator need to accept the 4396841 or EDR3RXD1 filter model for this cartridge to fit?

Yes, the SGF-W84 is built to replace 4396841, 4396710, EDR3RXD1, EFF-6016A and EFF-6008A cartridges, so your fridge must use one of those part numbers.

Will the 0.5-micron carbon block in this filter restrict flow on an older fridge that originally used a looser media?

The carbon-block design meets NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 at 0.5 microns and is engineered as a direct drop-in, so flow rate stays comparable to the original filter on compatible models.

How can I verify the filter is performing to the certified standard after I install it?

Run water through the dispenser for several minutes until it runs clear, then check that taste and odour are reduced; the NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 certification covers chlorine taste, odour, lead, cysts, VOCs, mercury and asbestos reduction.
