Swift Green SGF-W84 Two-Pack Replacement Filter

This two-pack supplies carbon-block refrigerator water filters certified to NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 standards. Each cartridge uses coconut shell carbon to reduce chlorine taste, odour, VOCs, lead, cysts, mercury and asbestos while retaining beneficial minerals. The filters are manufactured in the USA from BPA-free, lead-free and arsenic-free materials and are designed for residential use.

Replaces Original Equipment Filters 4396841

The SGF-W84 fits refrigerators that currently use part numbers 4396841, 4396710, EDR3RXD1 or EFF-6016A. Swapping to this compatible filter is worthwhile when the original cartridge reaches its six-month service limit or when flow rate and taste noticeably decline. The pack of two covers a full year of routine changes without repeated orders.

Verify Refrigerator Model

Confirm that your appliance lists one of the compatible part numbers above; the filter will not fit models that require a different cartridge design. Check the installation date on the existing filter — replacement is recommended every three to six months for best performance. No tools are needed for the change, but ensure the water supply is turned off before removal.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the SGF-W84 filter so I can check clearance in my fridge?

The filter measures 12.75 cm in length, 5.2 cm in width and 2.6 cm in depth, weighing 1.6 kilograms per unit.

How do I install the filter without tools, and what is the common mistake to avoid?

Align the filter with the housing, push straight in until it stops, then rotate a quarter-turn clockwise to lock; the common error is stopping at the push stage without turning, which leaves the seal loose and causes leaks.

When should I replace each filter in this two-pack for optimal performance?

Replace each filter every three to six months, or sooner if flow rate drops or taste changes, to maintain NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 certified reduction of lead, cysts, VOCs, chlorine taste and odour.
