Swiss Gear 38-piece survival kit

This 70 L backpack contains 38 multi-function accessories designed for hikers, campers and outdoor adventurers. The nylon pack is waterproof and cold-resistant and includes a dedicated first-aid kit with tweezers, scissors, tape and bandages. It also packs an axe, folding shovel, emergency tent, compass and flint for shelter building. The black carrier suits individuals or families wanting comprehensive safety preparation.

70 L nylon backpack with gear pockets

The main compartment holds all camping equipment while side pockets store phones and charging cables. The 9.84 by 9.84 by 12.2 inch pack weighs 8.81 lb and fits into a vehicle boot or roof box for transport. No external frame or hydration bladder is included, so users add their own water system. The integrated first-aid pouch frees up interior space for food and clothing.

Waterproof cold-resistant nylon under load

The nylon shell resists rain and low temperatures during extended trips without degrading. The 38-piece tool set remains organised in fixed loops so items do not shift when the pack is carried fully loaded. The axe and shovel handles are secured against the back panel to maintain balance on long hikes. The first-aid supplies stay accessible through an external zippered pocket.

Questions about this item

What is the first comfort limit you hit when carrying the 70 L pack fully loaded all day?

The 8.81 lb base weight plus gear shifts the load to your shoulders and hips, making strap pressure and hip-belt fit the first limiting factor on long hauls.

How hot or sweaty does the nylon back panel get during non-stop summer hiking?

The solid nylon back panel has no ventilation channels, so heat and moisture build up against your back after a few hours of steady walking.

Which essential overnight items are not in the 38-piece kit and must be brought separately?

The kit omits a sleeping bag, sleeping pad, shelter beyond the emergency tent, stove, fuel and water-treatment system — all required for a full night out.
