10L Waterproof Dry Bag

The Swiss Gear 8697-2543-Zip10LOrange is a 10-litre backpack constructed from commercial-grade 500D PVC with thermowelded seams for full waterproof protection. It suits boaters, campers, anglers and beach-goers who need gear to stay dry during wet activities. An included IPX8 phone case fits smartphones up to 6.5 inches diagonally. A single adjustable shoulder strap extends to 36 inches for carry flexibility.

Sustained Wet Exposure

Thermowelded seams prevent water ingress during prolonged immersion rather than brief splashes. The roll-top main compartment maintains its seal when the bag floats alongside a kayak or paddle board. The front zippered pocket allows quick access to keys or tools without unrolling the primary closure, keeping the main chamber sealed for longer periods. The 500D PVC material resists abrasion from sand, rocks and repeated loading cycles.

Setup And Common Issues

Adjust the shoulder strap to the desired length before loading heavy items to avoid readjustment under weight. Ensure the roll-top is folded at least three times and the buckle secured for the seal to hold. The zippered pocket is not rated for submersion; keep electronics in the supplied IPX8 case instead. Rinse salt water from the zipper and buckle after marine use to prevent corrosion and sticking.

What closure method must I operate to seal the main compartment before submerging the pack?
