Swiss Gear 5L Roll-Top Dry Backpack

The Swiss Gear OGOrangePhone5L is a 5-litre roll-top backpack built from abrasion-resistant nylon. Its zipper fastener and adjustable shoulder strap suit unisex users who need a compact, waterproof pack for daily carry or short water-based outings.

Roll-Top Closure Limits Water Entry

The roll-top design seals by folding the opening down multiple times before clipping it shut. This method resists splashes, rain and brief submersion, but it is not rated for continuous immersion or pressurised water jets. Users should test the seal before trusting electronics or documents inside.

5-Litre Capacity Defines Load Scope

At 5 litres the bag holds a phone, wallet, keys, a light jacket and small snacks. It will not accommodate a laptop, a hydration bladder or a full change of clothes. Buyers needing more volume should consider the 10L, 20L, 30L, 40L or 55L versions.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 5L roll-top or a larger 10L, 20L, 30L, 40L or 55L version?

The 5L roll-top suits a phone, wallet and light layers; step up to 10L or 20L for day-hike essentials, 30L–40L for overnight kit, or 55L for multi-day loads with the included sternum strap and waist-belt.

How does the IPX8 phone case perform when the backpack is submerged?

The supplied 6.5-inch IPX8 case seals with a snap-lock and clear windows, letting you shoot photos underwater while the roll-top main compartment keeps the case and remaining gear dry.

What closure standard does the roll-top use and what does it actually seal against?

The roll-top fastens by folding the nylon opening at least three times and clipping the buckle, creating a watertight seal that meets IPX8 immersion protection for the whole pack.
