Panel-mount ATX power switch
This panel-mount push button replaces a damaged or missing front-panel power switch on a desktop computer with an ATX supply and standard motherboard headers. The 12 mm nickel-plated aluminium alloy actuator fits a standard chassis cut-out and includes a blue LED that lights when the system is powered on.
IP65 aluminium housing and 60 cm lead
The switch body is rated IP65, resisting dust and low-pressure water jets, while the 60 cm two-wire cable reaches most motherboard header locations without strain. A momentary ON-OFF action connects to the POWER or RESET pins, and the built-in resistor drives the LED from a 3–6 V header supply at roughly 20 mA.
3 A switching limit at 250 V AC/DC
The contacts are rated for a maximum of 3 A at 250 V AC or DC, so the switch must not be used to carry primary PSU output currents or high-power peripheral loads. It is intended solely for low-current motherboard signalling; builders needing a higher-current mains interlock or a latching mechanism should select a different component.
