Magnetic hooks for metal surfaces

A pack of twelve swivel hooks rated at 30 lbs vertical pull attaches to ferromagnetic steel without tools. Each hook rotates to keep the load aligned and suits kitchens, garages, workshops or cruise cabins where a metal wall or door is available.

Holding strength under continuous load

The 30 lbs figure applies only to a straight vertical pull on thick, clean steel; shear force on a vertical surface drops to roughly one-third of that value. Paint, rust, thin sheet metal or an air gap between the cup and the surface will reduce the working load further, so the hooks are best used for lightweight items that stay in place for long periods.

Replaces adhesive hooks and screw-in hardware

These hooks remove cleanly from refrigerators, lockers, tool cabinets or steel beams without leaving residue or holes. They are not suitable for aluminium, copper, wood, plastic or non-magnetic stainless steel, so buyers who need to hang on those materials must choose a different mounting method.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise do the 30 lbs magnetic hooks generate when used all day?

The hooks are passive magnets with no moving parts or power draw, so they produce zero heat and no noise during continuous use.

What must I already own for the 30 lbs magnetic hooks to work?

You need a ferromagnetic surface such as iron, steel, nickel or cobalt; the hooks will not hold on aluminium, copper, wood, plastic or stainless steel.

Will the 30 lbs hooks hold on the older stainless-steel fridge I still use?

No, stainless steel is non-ferromagnetic, so the magnets cannot attach to it; they require iron, steel, nickel or cobalt surfaces.
