Product identity

The SXDOOL 120mm Aluminium Mesh Fan Filter is a black metal grille that fits standard 120 mm case fan mounts. It is intended for PC builders who want to block dust while keeping airflow paths open.

Deciding specification

The filter uses an aluminium mesh screen rather than foam or fabric, so it resists deformation and can be cleaned by rinsing or vacuuming. Buyers who need a fine-pore filter that traps smaller particles should look elsewhere.

Thermals noise and power

The passive mesh adds no power draw and produces no noise of its own. It creates minimal resistance so case fans maintain their rated airflow and static pressure with negligible temperature impact.

Questions about this item

How much airflow does the 120mm aluminium mesh restrict in a typical case?

The open aluminium mesh adds very little resistance so case fans maintain nearly their rated airflow while still catching dust.

What mounting standard does the 120mm filter use?

It follows the standard 120mm fan hole spacing so it bolts directly to any 120mm fan mount or chassis cut-out.

What clearance does the 120mm aluminium frame need inside the case?

The flat frame sits flush against the panel and adds only the mesh thickness so it fits in tight spaces without fouling cables.
