SXDOOL 40mm 12V PWM Case Fan
The SXDOOL 40mm fan fits small-form-factor cases, rack enclosures and industrial equipment where a 40mm frame is required. It delivers up to 22.5 CFM at 14000 RPM using a dual ball bearing rated for 60000 hours. The 4-pin PWM connector allows the motherboard to regulate speed automatically.
Replacing sleeve-bearing 40mm fans
This unit replaces noisy or failed sleeve-bearing fans that have worn out after extended use. The jump is worth it when the original fan exceeds 50 dBA or can no longer maintain airflow above 20 CFM. Dual ball bearings tolerate higher temperatures and continuous operation better than sleeve designs.
Installing the 40mm PWM fan
Mounting uses the standard 3.3cm hole spacing with four screws. The 7cm lead reaches most nearby headers but may need an extension for distant fan connectors. The blue PWM wire must be connected to a 4-pin header for speed control; otherwise the fan runs at full 14000 RPM continuously.

Questions about this item
Will the 3.3 cm mounting-hole spacing match my 40 mm fan slots?
Yes — the fan body is 40 × 40 × 28 mm with holes spaced 3.3 cm apart, the standard 40 mm pattern.
Which motherboard header do I plug the 4-pin connector into, and which wire is PWM?
Use any 4-pin system-fan header; the blue wire carries the PWM signal, black is ground, red is +12 V, yellow is tachometer.
When should I plan to replace the dual ball bearing fan?
Rated life is 60 000 hours at 14 000 rpm; expect replacement after roughly seven years of continuous use.
