Syba CL-NBK65016 security lock 40 in cable 2 keys

40-inch keyed cable lock

The Syba CL-NBK65016 is a physical security tether built around a hardened steel cable measuring 40 inches end to end. A traditional keyed cylinder secures the loop to any standard Kensington-style security slot found on notebooks, tablets, docking stations, monitors, printers, projectors or desktop chassis. Two matching keys are supplied so a spare can be kept in a safe place. The assembly weighs approximately 6.2 ounces and ships in a compact 9.5 by 6.5 by 1.5 inch package.

Suits solo devices; not multi-point

This lock works well for anyone who needs to anchor a single laptop or peripheral to a desk leg or cable anchor point in an office, classroom or hotel room. Buyers who must secure several devices with one cable, or who prefer a combination dial so no key can be lost, should look at a different solution. The package contains only the lock, cable and two keys — no mounting hardware or adhesive anchors are included.

40-inch cable length

The deciding measurement is the 40-inch reach of the shear-resistant cable. If the distance between the device security slot and the fixed anchor exceeds that span, the lock cannot close the gap and a longer tether is required.
