What it is

The Syba SY-ACC24053 is a physical security device that locks unused RJ45 network ports. It prevents unauthorised cables or foreign objects from being inserted without a matching proprietary key.

Who it suits

IT administrators securing open ports in offices, schools or data centres will find the four unique key patterns useful for controlled access. Buyers who need a simple dust cover without a locking mechanism or who want a single universal key for all ports should look at something else.

Behaviour under sustained use

The blocker remains firmly seated in the port for extended periods and resists casual removal attempts. The included pull tool allows authorised staff to release the lock cleanly without damaging the jack or the blocker itself.

Questions about this item

What RJ45 ports on my equipment will these blockers fit?

The blockers fit standard RJ45 ports found on network switches, routers, patch panels, wall plates and any device with an 8P8C Ethernet socket.

Can I remove a blocker later if I need to use that port again?

Yes, the pack includes a dedicated pull tool that releases the lock so the blocker can be removed and the port returned to service.

How do I confirm each blocker is properly locked after I insert it?

When the blocker is fully seated the lock clicks flush with the port face and the key cannot be turned further; only the matching key or the supplied pull tool can release it.
