2000-watt halogen studio lamp

This 2000-watt halogen bulb delivers 59000 lumens at a 3200K colour temperature with a CRI of 100. It uses a P40s mogul prefocus base and a T9.5 envelope. Rated life is 280 hours. The lamp runs on a 115-volt supply.

Film, stage and studio lighting

The output and colour accuracy suit professional film, stage and studio fixtures that require a 2000-watt tungsten source. Buyers needing a longer-life lamp or a lower heat output for continuous daily use should look at alternative technologies. Fixtures without a P40s socket cannot accept this bulb.

P40s mogul prefocus base

The P40s base is the single specification that determines fitment; the bulb will only seat in fixtures designed for that exact mogul prefocus connection. Verify the fixture base type before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I know if the P40s mogul prefocus base fits my fixture?

The P40s mogul prefocus base is a standard single-ended socket; match it to fixtures that list P40s or mogul prefocus in their specifications.

What does 59000 lumens actually deliver on a film set?

At 59000 luminous flux and 3200K colour temperature, the lamp provides high-output tungsten-balanced light suitable for key or fill lighting in studio and stage work.

What limits does the 115 V rating place on dimming or power distribution?

The lamp is rated for 115 volts and 2000 watts; it must be supplied from a 115 V circuit and dimmed only with equipment rated for that voltage and wattage.
