High-Output Halogen Lamp

The OSRAM BTR halogen lamp delivers 27500 lumens at 3200K colour temperature. It operates at 1000 watts on a 120 volt supply. This clear bulb suits stage, studio and projection applications needing intense, accurate light.

Medium Prefocus Base

A P28s medium prefocus base secures the lamp in compatible fixtures. The T6 tubular envelope houses a C-13D filament designed for precise optical alignment. The clear finish ensures unfiltered output for demanding lighting setups.

Short Life High Heat

Rated life is 250 hours, reflecting the high-temperature halogen cycle. The 1000 watt draw produces significant heat during operation. Users should plan for frequent replacement and ensure fixtures handle the thermal load.

Questions about this item

What does the 120V rating mean for this halogen bulb?

The 120V rating means the bulb is designed for standard North American mains voltage and will draw 1000W at that voltage.

What fixture dimensions suit the P28s Medium Prefocus base?

The P28s Medium Prefocus base requires a matching socket with a 28mm pin circle and medium prefocus contact spacing.

How is the BTR bulb installed and what step is often missed?

Insert the P28s base into the matching socket until the pins seat fully; the step often missed is avoiding bare-hand contact with the quartz envelope to prevent hot spots.
