Sylvania PRCD261-PURPLE Portable CD Boombox AM/FM Aux Purple

Portable CD Boombox with AM/FM

The Sylvania PRCD261-PURPLE is a purple portable boombox that plays CDs and receives AM/FM radio. It operates on the included AC adaptor or battery power for use anywhere. An auxiliary input allows connection to external audio devices. The LED display shows the current track while a 20-track programmable memory lets you set the playback order.

Who this suits and who it does not

This unit fits listeners who want a single device for CD playback and radio reception in a carry-friendly design. It also suits anyone needing a simple speaker for a phone or tablet via the auxiliary connection. Buyers who need Bluetooth streaming or digital file playback from USB or memory cards should look at other models. The top-loading mechanism requires clearance above the unit when placed on a shelf.

Deciding specification

The top-loading CD mechanism with 20-track programmable memory defines the core playback experience. If you need to play standard audio CDs and want to arrange tracks in a custom sequence, this feature covers that need. If your media library lives on streaming services or USB drives, the lack of those interfaces means this boombox will not serve as your primary player.
