1U rackmount NAS with four drive bays, AMD Ryzen V1500B processor, 4GB DDR4, four gigabit ports and PCIe expansion
The Synology RackStation RS826+ is a 1U rackmount NAS designed for high read and write performance with RAID. It ships as a diskless system so you can populate the four drive bays with 3.5 inch SATA HDDs or 2.5 inch SATA SSDs. An AMD Ryzen V1500B processor and 4GB DDR4 memory handle multi-user file access and backup tasks.
Verify your rack has a free 1U space and that you have the required rail kit, which is sold separately. The unit provides four RJ-45 ports for 10/100/1000M connections and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports for external devices. A single PCIe Gen3 x8 slot with x4 link is available for adding a cache or network card. Memory can be expanded to 32 GB using two DDR4 SODIMM modules.
The package includes the main unit, an accessory pack and an AC power cord for 100-240 VAC supply. No drives or rail kit are included, so you must supply compatible SATA drives and mounting hardware. With the installed 4GB DDR4 you can begin setup immediately and add memory later if workloads demand more capacity.

The unit arrives diskless with no drives installed and the rail kit is sold separately; you must supply four 3.5" SATA HDDs or 2.5" SATA SSDs and purchase rails if rack-mounting.
The system includes 4 GB DDR4 in two SODIMM slots and supports up to 32 GB using two 16 GB DDR4 modules, so you can start small and expand later if workloads demand more RAM.
Under typical access loads the RS826+ draws 37.73 watts, dropping to 15.57 watts when drives hibernate, giving a clear baseline for power-budget planning in a 1U enclosure.
