The Synology RS826+ is a 1U rackmount NAS built for edge locations, remote offices and growing business storage environments. It runs on an AMD Ryzen V1500B four-core, eight-thread processor at 2.2 GHz with 32GB DDR4 ECC memory. The unit ships fully assembled and tested with 1.6TB enterprise cache and four 16TB Synology Plus drives for 64TB total capacity.

Four 1GbE ports and PCIe Gen3 expansion

Four integrated 10/100/1000M RJ-45 ports support Link Aggregation for load balancing and automatic failover. A PCIe Gen3 slot allows compatible 10GbE or 25GbE adapters to be added as requirements grow. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports provide additional connectivity. The 100-240 VAC power supply operates at 50/60Hz within 0°C to 35°C and 5-95% relative humidity.

Upgrades from single-drive or non-redundant storage

This configuration replaces single-drive or non-redundant setups with a tested, cache-accelerated array that delivers over 2000 MB/s sequential read and 1300 MB/s sequential write under Synology test conditions. The jump is worth it when uptime, data integrity and scalable 1GbE throughput matter more than raw capacity alone. Builders needing more than four bays or native 10GbE should evaluate larger chassis.
