A 1U rackmount NAS with four drive bays, AMD Ryzen V1500B processor, 4GB DDR4 RAM, 1.6TB cache and 64TB of pre-installed Synology Plus drives
The Synology RS826+ is a 1U rackmount network-attached storage server built around an AMD Ryzen V1500B four-core processor running at 2.2 GHz. It ships with 4 GB of DDR4 ECC memory and four drive bays that accept 3.5-inch SATA hard drives or 2.5-inch SATA SSDs. The unit arrives fully assembled and tested with four 16 TB Synology Plus NAS drives providing 64 TB of raw capacity plus 1.6 TB of enterprise cache on two 800 GB modules. It targets growing businesses that need dependable file services at remote sites.
Operating temperature is rated from 0 °C to 35 °C at 5 % to 95 % relative humidity. Power input accepts 100 VAC to 240 VAC at 50 Hz or 60 Hz. Four integrated RJ-45 ports run at 10/100/1000 Mbps and support Link Aggregation for load balancing and automatic failover. Under Synology test conditions the system delivers more than 2,000 MB/s sequential read and 1,300 MB/s sequential write throughput across those interfaces.
The package includes four 16 TB Synology Plus NAS drives and two 800 GB Synology Enterprise cache modules pre-installed, so the array is ready for volume creation on first boot. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports are available for external backup targets or peripheral connectivity. A PCIe Gen 3 slot remains open for adding a compatible 10 GbE or 25 GbE adapter when network demands increase. Management is handled through the web-based DSM interface with DHCP client support.

Install the 1U chassis in a standard rack using the supplied accessory pack, attach the AC power cord to a 100-240 VAC 50/60 Hz supply, then connect at least one of the four 1GbE RJ-45 ports to your network
The four 16TB Synology Plus SATA drives carry the highest wear risk; the two 800GB Enterprise Cache SSDs and the system fan are the next items to monitor for endurance limits
The four 1GbE links cap aggregate throughput at roughly 1000 MB/s, well below the 2000 MB/s sequential read and 1300 MB/s sequential write the CPU and cache can deliver
