It ships fully assembled and tested with four drive bays populated by 16TB Synology Plus NAS drives. A 2.2 GHz AMD Ryzen V1500B four-core, eight-thread processor and 4GB DDR4 ECC memory handle file serving and virtualization workloads.

Capacity and Headroom

The array delivers 64TB raw capacity across four 16TB drives, while a 3.2TB Synology Enterprise cache (2 x 1.6TB) accelerates frequent reads and writes. Sequential throughput reaches 2,000 MB/s read and 1,300 MB/s write under vendor test conditions. Memory expands to 32GB and a PCIe Gen3 slot accepts 10GbE or 25GbE adapters, but the four 1GbE ports limit network speed without an add-in card.

Bundled Cache and Drives Change Daily Use

Pre-installed cache and drives eliminate separate procurement and compatibility checks, so the unit is production-ready on arrival. The 3.2TB cache layer reduces latency for hot data without user configuration. Four 1GbE ports provide link aggregation and automatic failover out of the box. Buyers needing 10GbE or 25GbE connectivity must purchase a compatible PCIe adapter separately.
