A 1U rackmount NAS with four drive bays, an AMD Ryzen V1500B processor, 8GB DDR4 memory, 3.2TB cache and 24TB of pre-installed drives
The Synology RS826RP+ is a 1U rackmount network-attached storage server built for edge deployments, branch offices and remote business workloads. It ships fully assembled and tested with four 6TB Synology Plus drives providing 24TB of raw capacity, 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 3.2TB enterprise SSD cache.
This unit targets organisations that want a ready-to-rack system with hot-swappable bays, four 1GbE ports for link aggregation and failover, and a PCIe Gen3 slot for optional 10GbE or 25GbE adapters. It is not for buyers who require more than four internal drive bays without adding an expansion unit, or who need 10GbE connectivity out of the box.
The CPU delivers over 2,000 MB/s sequential read and 1,300 MB/s sequential write in Synology's tested configuration, determining how quickly the NAS serves files and runs business applications. This performance level sets the boundary for the workloads the RS826RP+ can handle.
Measured against everything we stock in Rack-Mounted NAS Servers, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.

The unit is 492.6 mm deep; allow additional depth behind the rear posts for power cords and four Ethernet cables so the total rack depth exceeds that figure.
Insert each 3.5-inch SATA drive or 2.5-inch SATA SSD into a tray, secure it with the tray screws, then slide the tray into the bay until the latch clicks — do not force the drive directly into the chassis.
The two 1.6 TB enterprise SSDs installed as read/write cache can wear out after extensive write cycles and should be monitored via DSM for health status.
