42 inch ceiling fan with RGB backlight

This 42 inch ceiling fan delivers 3392 CFM airflow at 32 watts and combines a dimmable LED light with RGB backlighting. Five black engineered wood blades mount in semi flush or ceiling configurations. The FanLamp Pro app and included remote control every function independently, and the unit remembers lighting presets after power off.

Upgrade from basic fixed speed fans

Replaces single speed ceiling fans that lack reversible airflow and integrated lighting control. The jump is worth it when you need six speed settings, natural wind mode, and seasonal reversal without rewiring. Independent control of the main light, RGB backlight, and fan motor lets you run any combination without compromise.

Limits of app and remote interface

The FanLamp Pro app and infrared remote handle all settings but require line of sight or local network connectivity for the remote and app respectively. Fan speed must be reselected manually after a wall switch power cycle, while lighting settings are retained automatically. No voice assistant or hub integration is documented in the specifications.

Questions about this item

What ceiling height and mounting style does the 42 inch T31665 require?

The fan installs semi-flush with a body height of 12.83 inches and overall dimensions of 14.33 inches wide by 9.06 inches deep, so it needs a standard ceiling box and enough clearance below the ceiling surface.

Which wiring step catches people out when fitting the 32 watt LED kit?

The fan, main light and RGB backlight each need their own switched live from the receiver; if the three channels are joined together the app and remote cannot control them independently.

When will the integrated LED panel or the remote need replacing?

The 32 watt LED array runs at 2700 K to 6500 K and is not user-replaceable; the remote uses a standard coin cell that typically lasts one to two years before a swap is needed.
