TableCraft Products Company Fry Basket Red

Fry Basket Red — small-appliance accessory

The red fry basket from Tablecraft Products Company is a mesh nickel-plated steel basket with a PVC handle designed for use with deep fryers. It measures 5-1/4 inches in overall height and 6-1/2 inches in overall width. The basket suits home cooks and light-commercial kitchens that need a replacement or spare frying basket. Its open mesh construction allows oil to circulate freely around food.

Mesh nickel-plated steel limits

Nickel-plated steel resists corrosion better than plain steel but can wear if scraped against fryer walls or cleaned with abrasive pads. The PVC handle stays cooler than metal but will soften if exposed to temperatures above its rating or left resting on a hot fryer rim. Mesh openings drain oil quickly yet can trap fine crumbs that require thorough washing. The basket has no lid, so splatter control depends entirely on the fryer itself.

6-1/2 inch overall width decides fit

The single specification that determines whether this basket works is its 6-1/2 inch overall width; the fryer’s interior must be at least that wide at the basket-support level. If the fryer well is narrower the basket will not sit level, and if it is significantly wider the basket may tip during lifting. No other dimension in the data overrides this width constraint.
