Taco 3/4in Automatic Air Separator
The Taco 49-075T-2 is an in-line brass air separator built for hydronic heating and cooling systems. It uses a float-type vent to remove air from water or glycol circuits and carries a maximum pressure rating of 150 psi with a minimum operating temperature of 25 degrees F.
Installers needing reliable air removal
This unit suits contractors fitting 3/4in piping where automatic venting is required. It is not for systems that demand a larger connection size, a different body material or a higher pressure rating than 150 psi.
1/2in NPT expansion tank port
The female NPT connection accepts a standard expansion tank and the fixed inlet-to-outlet distance fits tight mechanical rooms. Headroom ends when the application exceeds the 150 psi limit or requires a connection size other than 3/4in.

Questions about this item
Does my system need a 1/2 in female NPT connection to attach the expansion tank?
Yes, the unit provides a 1/2 in female NPT port for the expansion tank connection.
Will the 3/4 in in-line body fit between my existing 3/4 in copper pipes?
The in-line brass body is sized for 3/4 in piping with a 3 3/4 in centre-to-centre port spacing.
How can I confirm the automatic float vent is releasing air after installation?
Watch the float vent during system fill; it should discharge air quietly and then seal once water reaches it.
